Psyllium husks are the husks of the plantain plant. They are known for their enormous swelling power and water-binding capacity - the husks can absorb many times their own weight in water. The higher the purity, the better the swelling properties of the psyllium husks. The high purity and quality of our premium psyllium husks result in a high swelling number of 67 ml/g.

The high crude fibre content also stimulates the activity of the gastrointestinal tract and can support intestinal activity. In case of diarrhea, psyllium husks can support dogs and cats by absorbing the excess water and also significantly prolong stomach emptying.

Horses (approx. 500 kg): 50 g daily

Ponies & Small horses: 25 g daily

(80 ml in the measuring cup corresponds to 50 g)

Allow the psyllium husks to swell with hot water (500 ml for 50 g) for about 30 minutes and mix with well-soaked hay cobs or mash.

Dogs up to 10 kg: ½ teaspoon daily

Dogs over 10 kg: 1 teaspoon daily

Allow the psyllium husks to swell with about 15 ml of hot water for about 30 minutes and mix into the food.

Cats: ½ teaspoon daily

Allow the psyllium husks to swell with 10 ml of hot water for about 30 minutes and mix into the food.

Always soak the psyllium husks and provide plenty of water.

Note: Store in a cool, dry & protected from light place. Delivery includes a practical measuring cup.
