With our AniForte® bronchial herbs, it's the mixture that makes the difference. We have developed a particularly effective herbal mixture from high-quality herbs to supplement your horse's daily feed. It contains eucalyptus, marshmallow root, thyme, ribwort and Icelandic moss. The herbs for horses are rounded off with watercress, horseradish, oregano and aniseed.
Eucalyptus consists mainly of the essential oil cineole. Essential oils are known to strengthen the immune system, contain antimicrobial properties and have an anti-inflammatory, expectorant and antispasmodic effect. This is also the case with our herbs for horses with cineole, which is particularly known for its expectorant properties. This positive support has also been demonstrated in animal studies on temporary respiratory disorders.
Marshmallow root supports the natural function of the lungs, acting as a protective layer on the mucous membranes of your horse's respiratory system. This can alleviate existing inflammations or you can prevent them by feeding our bronchial herbs for horses to keep the airways constantly clear during the cold season.
Icelandic moss, which is also contained in the herbs for horses, is particularly popular with horses that have temporary difficulties with their airways. It has been shown that the raw material can have a supportive effect on relieving coughs.
Another speciality of our AniForte® Bronchial Herbs is watercress, which contains the important and effective ingredient methylcysteine. This substance supports the physiological function of the respiratory tract and thus promotes the cleansing of the bronchial tubes in a natural way.
Large horse (approx. 500 kg): 70 g per day
Pony: 35 g per day
(1 measuring cup equals 35 g)
Please mix the herbs into the feed for 10 – 14 days. We recommend soaking the herbs in hot water for 5 - 7 minutes and then feeding them with the feed. Alternatively, the herbs can also be left to infuse with the preparation of the mash and fed together with the mash. However, due to the horses' salivation, it is also possible to feed the herbs dry.
Note: Store in a cool, dry place protected from light.
